REAL-TIME LOGS
Real-time logging allows firewalls that do not have dedicated storage space (/log partition on hard disk, SD or microSD card) to display logs available in the firewall's memory.
The number of log lines that can be displayed depends on the firewall's memory capacity.
Log file selection field
Select the log file for which you wish to display entries.
The following log files are available:
- Administration,
- Alarms,
- Authentication,
- Application connections,
- Network connections,
- System events,
- Filter policy,
- HTTP proxy,
- SMTP proxy,
- FTP proxy,
- POP3 proxy,
- SSL proxy,
- IPsec VPN,
- SSL VPN,
- Dynamic multicast routing,
- Sandboxing,
- Filter statistics,
- Router statistics,
- Monitoring.
Log display
When a log file is selected, the events contained in the file are displayed in the grid.
The columns found in the grid depend on the log file selected.
Possible operations
| Search | Enter a character string in this field to filter by the entries displayed (IP address, protocol, host name, user, etc.). |
| Refresh | This button refreshes the list of logs that are displayed in the grid. |
| Refreshment time | This button can be used to change how often the grid is automatically refreshed. |
| Pause/Resume | Click this button to pause or resume automatic grid refreshment. |

This drop-down list offers three additional actions:

Interactive features
Depending on the cell selected, when you right-click on a log line, you can:
- Search for this value in the All logs view,
- Check usage of this host,
- Show host details,
- Blacklist this object (for 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes or 3 hours),
- Copy the selected line to the clipboard,
- Copy the current cell to the clipboard,
- Add the host to the objects base and/or add it to a group.
