Restore tab

This window allows you to restore a backup that was made earlier.

Restoring a configuration

Select a backup to restore

In this field, select the .na backup file to restore.

 

As a general rule, backups containing TPM-protected private keys of certificates can only be restored on the source firewall. For more information, see the section Trusted Platform Module.

Restore the configuration from the backup file Click on this button to restore the firewall's configuration from the selected file.
You may be asked to reboot your firewall depending on the restored backup. If a reboot is necessary, you will have the choice of rebooting immediately or later.

Advanced properties

Backup password If you have protected the selected backup with a password, enter it in this field. Backups cannot be restored without this password.
Modules to be restored

Your firewall’s configuration can be fully or partially restored. The Restore all modules of the backup file checkbox is selected by default. All the modules contained in the backup file can therefore be restored.

If you wish to restore only some of the modules in the backup file, unselect Restore all modules of the backup file, then individually select the modules you wish to restore.

Restore automatic backup

Date of the latest backup Date of the latest backup of your configuration, available on the local or external server.
Restore the configuration from the automatic backup Click on this button to restore the firewall’s configuration, using the file selected above.
You may be asked to reboot your firewall depending on the restored backup. If a reboot is necessary, you will have the choice of rebooting immediately or later.
