SN150

2 USB 2.0 port of USB drive.

SN160(W)

1 USB port for access in console mode.

3 USB 3.0 port of USB drive.

SN210(W)

3 USB 3.0 port of USB drive.

The USB port 1 makes it possible to access the appliance in console mode: so it is possible to log on to SN150 directly using a PC.

This connection in console mode requires the installation of a driver on the PC: download and install this driver from: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

With the firewall powered off:

  1. Insert the USB drive 2 (SN150) or the USB port 3 (SN160, SN160W, SN210, SN210W and SN310).
  2. Connect the USB port 1 to a USB port on the PC using the USB cable provided with the firewall.
  3. Launch a console emulator on the PC to access the firewall (115 200 baud - 8N1).
  4. Power up the firewall, which will start up immediately.
The console emulator will then display:

The SN150 will start up on the USB drive.
  1. For SN160(W), SN210(W) and SN310 models, enter "run bootusb3" and confirm: SNXXX>> run bootusb3
The firewall will start up on the USB drive.
