SN510 and SN710

The serial port makes it possible to access the appliance in console mode, so it is possible to log on to the SN510 or SN710 directly using a PC.

With the SN510 or SN710 powered off, insert the USB drive into the USB 2 port, then connect the serial port 1 to an RS232 serial port on the PC using the serial cable provided with the SN510 or SN710.

Launch a console emulator on the PC to access the SN510 or SN710. Power up the SN510 or SN710, which will immediately start running on the USB drive.
