SNS firewall configuration modes

The configuration recommendations explained in this document can be put into practice in various ways:

• On the SNS firewall side:

  • Through the SNS firewall's web administration interface,

  • Through the SNS command line interface in SSH,

• On the SMC server side:

  • Through direct access to SNS firewalls without renewing authentication. This access mode makes it possible to manage the entire configuration of an SNS firewall,

  • Through the SMC server’s web administration interface, to configure some features on several SNS firewalls.

  • Through SNS CLI scripts, to automate tasks on several SNS firewalls.

In this document, configuration recommendations apply to the web administration interface on SNS firewalls, and when possible, to the SMC server’s web administration interface.
