Configuring QoS in filter rules

By default, network traffic uses queues that are associated with the interfaces through which they enter and leave the network. To set specific queues by traffic type, you need to create filter rules. By doing so, you can prioritize traffic types based on their source.

  1. You can create a filter rule from a rule set, folder settings or firewall settings.

  2. Configure the rule as indicated in the section Creating filter and NAT rules.

  3. In Action, General tab, ensure that the action has been set to Pass. Otherwise, you will not be able to configure QoS in the rule.

  4. In the Quality of service tab, select the queue, and if necessary, the acknowledgment queue (ACK queue).

  5. For more information on the Fairness field, refer to the SNS User Guide.
