SES Evolution 2.7.2 fixes

SES Evolution Agent

Updating an SES Evolution agent when Windows Defender is running

Support reference: STORM-56495

On the Windows Server 2016 operating system, an issue prevented the agent from updating from SES Evolution version 2.6.3 when Windows Defender was running. From version 2.7.2, it will be possible to update an agent under these conditions.

Shutting down the computer while updating an SES Evolution agent

Shutting down or restarting a computer while the SES Evolution agent was updating could cause errors and agent instability. Now, when the user wants to shut down or restart their workstation, a message notifies them that an agent update is in progress. This allows the user to undo the action.

Modification of custom scripts

The modifications to custom scripts in conditional policies are now correctly applied to agents.

Administration console

Creating exception rules for process creation

From now on, when you create a new exception rule from a log triggered by a process creation, the source process is correctly populated in the rule and the default behavior is no longer enabled.

Agent handler

Sending logs with context to a Syslog server

Previously, when a Syslog server was defined in the settings of an agent handler, the latter sent all logs from agents with context to the Syslog server, regardless of the minimum severity specified for the logs.

From now on, only logs, with or without context, that meet the minimum severity level specified in the agent handler settings are sent to the Syslog server.
