Retrieving users' passwords

If users forget their passwords, a user with the Helpdesk role can assign a new password to them. For more information, please refer to the section Assigning Helpdesk and Recovery roles.

The following procedures only apply if you are in built-in key management mode.

In external key management mode, the Helpdesk role does not exist. To retrieve users' passwords, look up the Knowledge Base If you imported .p12 files, or the Stormshield Data Authority Manager guide if you are using SDS Enterprise.
