Declaring the global administrator of the SDMC server

Before logging in to the SDMC server's web interface, you must declare a global administrator, who holds all privileges on the server. However, this administrator cannot perform any helpdesk or recovery operations, reserved only for the security administrator.

Declaring the global administrator of the server:

  1. Click on the link that you received by e-mail after having created your corporate account. The pre-entered form appears.
  2. Verify the information it contains and change it where necessary. If you change the e-mail address, ensure that you choose an address that belongs to the same domain as the one used to create the corporate account.
  3. Set your global administrator's password.
    The server connection page appears.
  4. Enter your administration credentials to access the SDMC server's web interface.

This global administrator of the SDMC server can then invite other persons to share administration tasks. For more information, refer to the section Managing administrators.

In your profile, you can choose whether to enable notifications every time there is a connection to SDMC through your account to prevent identity spoofing.
