Configuring automatic file protection
SDS for C&M detects synchronization applications that have been installed on Windows clients and makes it possible to automatically protect the documents that users store in their synchronized spaces. This feature is not available in macOS.

In order to use the SDS for C&M automatic protection feature, ensure that you have met the following requirements:
- The synchronizer must be installed on the workstation before installing the SDS for C&M client.
- SDS for C&M has been validated with the following synchronization applications:
- Google Drive Backup and Sync version 3.49.9800.0000,
- Oodrive WebSynchro version 3.0.0.3923,
- Dropbox version 98.4.158,
- OneDrive.exe (new synchronizer for OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online libraries) 2020 build version 20.084.0426.0007,

- In the server's administration interface, select the Policies menu on the left.
- In Automatic file protection, select the type of shared spaces for which you would like to enable automatic protection.

NOTE
Automatic protection will only be effective for files that are created and moved to the shared space after the function has been enabled. To protect files that were already in the shared space, the user must select the Stormshield Data Security > Protect access > Stormshield Data Security > Enable automatic protection menu.
- Click on Save.
EXAMPLE
In this example, only the Oodrive space has been enabled. New files that users store in Oodrive will be automatically protected. However, files stored in other types of shared spaces will need to be manually protected.
