Your SDS for C&M license allows you to register a certain number of users. Refer to license information for more details on the terms of your license.
If you are using SDS for C&M without Stormshield Data Security Enterprise and without the built-in key management, you will need to provide each user with a .p12 or .pfx file, which he must import onto his workstation or mobile device after creating his account. This file must contain the full trust chain of authority certificates.
In built-in key management mode, we (Stormshield) guarantee that any sensitive information will always be in encrypted form, and protected by the user’s password which we have no way of finding out. Passwords and keys never leave the users’ devices and are never transferred anywhere. All encryption operations also take place on the users’ devices and never on our servers. Only public keys are stored in plaintext on the SDMC server, as they do not contain any sensitive information and do not need to be kept confidential.
