Before upgrading the SES agent operating system, ensure that you have the most recent Stormshield rule sets. If not, download the Stormshield updates, and update your security policies.

Only the Windows versions still maintained by Microsoft are listed in these tables.

From version 2.4 onwards, SES Evolution is compatible with Smart Application Control protection, which is available with a fresh Windows 11 22H2 installation (disabled by default). However, when the agent is installed, informational warning messages will be generated regarding drivers that the agent runs.

The SQL Server Express 2019 installation file and Cumulative Update 16 file can be found in your MyStormshield client area, under the Downloads section, in Stormshield Endpoint Evolution > Resources. Drop them in the same folder as the SES Evolution Installation Center if you want them to be installed when there is a new installation or when the solution is updated.

Global SES Evolution version is the version of the installation center used to install or update the server components (i.e., console, backend, agents handler).

Backwards compatibility is possible in some cases (see table below). However it is not possible for servers to manage agents with versions higher than the server version (for instance you cannot manage 2.1 agents with a 2.0 global version).
